Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy describes the cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms that apply to UArt Studio's services. It complements our terms of service. By paying your deposit, you accept the terms below.

1. Booking deposit

Booking a session requires a $98 deposit, which confirms and holds your time slot. The deposit works as follows:

  • if you select photos at the end of the session, the deposit is applied to the final price of your package;
  • if you select no photos at the end of the session, the deposit is fully refunded to you.

In other words, you do the session risk-free: you only pay if you like some of the photos.

2. Cancellation and rescheduling

All of our sales are final. We do not currently offer any refunds or returns. Deposits are fully refundable on the condition that you arrive at your photoshoot at the agreed upon time and do not reschedule your reservation more than once.

3. No-show

In the event of an unannounced absence on the day of the session, or a delay that makes the session impossible to carry out, the $98 deposit is not refunded. It covers the preparation of the studio, sets, lighting and the team. A new booking will require a new deposit.

4. Cancellation by the studio

If UArt Studio has to cancel a session (force majeure, technical issue, unavailability), you may choose between:

  • rescheduling at no charge to a date that suits you;
  • a full refund of the amounts paid, including the deposit.

5. Galleries and completed services

The photos you choose to purchase and the delivered gallery are not refundable on the basis of subjective aesthetic preference alone, as photography services are creative, personalized work.

If a technical error on our part affects the quality of the deliverables, we will correct the retouching or redo the relevant session at no charge. Contact us within 7 days of your gallery being delivered.

6. Add-ons and custom products

  • Add-ons (makeup, hair, backstage video, extra photos) are not refundable once the service has been provided.
  • Prints and canvases are custom products, not refundable once production has started, except for a manufacturing defect.
  • Cancelling a session that has already taken place does not release you from paying the outstanding balance under a payment plan.

7. Refund timelines and methods

Any approved refund is issued to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of approval. The time it takes to appear on your statement depends on your financial institution. For any request, email [email protected] with your name and booking date.

8. Your recourse

This policy is applied in compliance with Quebec's Consumer Protection Act. Nothing in this policy limits the rights granted to you by law. In the event of an unresolved dispute, you may contact the Office de la protection du consommateur (opc.gouv.qc.ca).
